About Us

Hunter Huss High School is proud to serve students in Gaston County by providing a strong academic foundation and opportunities for career and technical education. We are home to the Career Academy, which features hands-on programs in areas such as manufacturing, public safety, health sciences, education, and more. Our goal is to help students discover their interests, build valuable skills, and prepare for life after graduation—whether that means college, the military, or entering the workforce.

In addition to academics and career training, Hunter Huss offers a variety of programs in the fine arts, including band, chorus, and visual arts. These programs allow students to express their creativity and showcase their talents.

Hunter Huss also has a proud tradition of athletic excellence. Our student-athletes compete in a wide range of sports while learning teamwork, leadership, and school pride.
